The Scottish Highlands

Parts of the original Fort Augustus were incorporated into the Benedictine Abbey built here in 1876. A new facade and clocktower were designed especially for the abbey. The monks left in 1999 and it is now converted into luxury accomodation on the shores of Loch Ness.
